My name is John and I have been in the catering business as an owner and operator of food trucks for almost three decades.  My trucks are what we call “side loaders” where the driver arrives, opens the side serving door to serve customers, then closes it back up to go to the next call.

A few times over the years I would forget to close up the side serving door before starting to drive to the next site, occasionally hitting the open door on something. The cost to replace a side serving door is approximately $5000. After having to replace a couple of doors, and knowing other food truck operators that have had to do the same, I thought there must be a way to stop this situation from happening.

One night I watched a news story where a dump truck drove down the highway with the box in the up position and it hit the Burlington Skyway Bridge, causing millions of dollars in damage and closing the highway to traffic for days.

This is when I came up with the idea for the NoGo Light, which would work for both food trucks and dump trucks to ensure that the drivers will not operate their vehicles until it is in the proper configuration.  Since I installed the NoGo Light on my truck five years ago I have not had to worry about ever forgetting to close the side serving door on my truck before driving away.

No more ripped out doors, damaged garages, or time lost. It is perfect for dump trucks and food trucks, etc. and only takes minutes to install.
